Treasurer's report: $257.48 bal and no new members this month

Upcoming meetings

September 20th meeting:  reveal of our Table Runner/Topper challenge.   In case you forgot... here are some of the colors that were drawn for this challenge.

We will also kick-off of our new 12.5" Modern Block challenge.    Ann agreed to bring our 1st set of strips for our new Modern Block Challenge.


October:  Member Spotlight: Ann Boggs

November:  Sew in led by Molly and Babs

Lois Showed off her award winning quilt for the Row by Row Experience.  She won at Bernina World of Sewing.

We had show and tell (Arleen took pictures) and we basted 3 quilts.
Several of us then went out to lunch.

What's Up at our Next Meetings

• General Business & Guest Welcome

• August:   Quilt Basting -  Dianne will bring her basting frame.  If you have a quilt that needs to be pin basted, bring your quilt top, batting, backing and basting pins to the meeting and we'll all help you pin it.    

Come prepared:  batting should be about 2" bigger than quilt and backing should be 2" bigger than that (approx 4" larger than quilt top).  And bring OPEN safety pins to baste.   Additional questions can be addressed to Dianne.

• General Show & Tell:  Inspire the group with your latest Show & Tell project.

Note:  Donna and I will not be at this meeting.   Dianne volunteered  to take notes/minutes of the meeting (thank you Dianne).



Upcoming Meetings

September:   Crayon Table runner/topper challenge.   I can't wait to see them.  Make it Modern and only use the 3 colors that you chose + 1 neutral (optional).

We will also kick-off our New Challenge:  Modern Block Challenge.   Ann volunteered to bring our first 2 1/2 inch strip for us to use.

November:  Group charity sew-in.   Molly & Babs are heading our next group charity sew-in.   Thank you both for volunteering.  Stay tuned for additional information.
