Treasurer’s report: New balance is now $123.83

Business Note:  We are looking for a new VP.  Our VP, Gloria, unfortunately had to resign.  If you are interested in this position, let Kathy know.  According to the bylaws, “in term” resignations can be appointed by the President.

Our CFMQ guild banner is almost done.  We had a discussion at the meeting about what to include on the label:

  • Guild established in 2011.
  • Banner completed in 2013.
  • Design by Lynn S, Lettering by Chris B.
  • (add names of guild members who worked on the banner)

Thank you to all the guild members who helped with our banner.

Field trips/sew-away: Thank you Sherry for collecting information about field trip to Spoonflower and fall sew-away.

Spoonflower field trip (Durham) - date is April 22.  We are planning to carpool - one group leaving from Hampstead and the other group from the Brunswick county area.  We will meet up on I-40 at a rest stop. Guild members signed up for the trip and indicated their starting point.  We will talk about this trip again at our March meeting and check for other members who might want to come on the trip.

On Point Neo-Natal Quilt pattern

Donna L researched additional information on the On Point Neo-natal quilt that was shown at yesterday's meeting.   Here's what she discovered.

The pattern used to be offered free on quiltwoman.com   I have a pdf copy for it "Quick to Point".  But when I checked the site today I see that the name has changed and it is now being sold for $9.  I made the quilt several years ago at QBTS neo-natal workshop.  It was a lot of fun to make!

Chock Full O' Charms Quilt Pattern - Straight to the Point Series QW-11e (instant download)

Price: $9.00

Quakertown also has a printed pattern that uses the same technique:

"Simply Squares"  $7.00
